With over 20 years of experience in business and technology leadership, Matt brings a proven track record of enterprise technology leadership and a passion for solving complex problems through a strategic, business-first lens.

Before joining Lakefield, Matt held several executive IT leadership roles across healthcare, animal health, and managed IT services organizations. Notably, Matt led the IT department for a rapidly growing network of animal hospitals, where his team earned an impressive 97% satisfaction rating from the 160+ hospitals they supported—during a time of significant transformation and growth. 

He serves as the Executive Director of CIOs Against Cancer – Michigan, is a board member at the American Cancer Society – Michigan and an advisor at Cornell University.

In 2020, Matt was recognized as a finalist for the Michigan ORBIE Awards—CIO of the Year—an esteemed honor celebrating excellence among top technology executives.

Matt’s passion for life extends well beyond the workplace. He’s an avid endurance athlete and outdoorsman—often found running trails in preparation for his next race, reeling in largemouth bass from his kayak, or pushing through burpees in a weighted vest for his next obstacle course challenge.  He cherishes time with his beautiful family and their “zoo” (2 dogs, 2 cats and a lizard).
