Dr. Darren Taul is a previous multi-practice owner with a vast array of experience across the veterinary industry. Dr. Taul grew up on a family farm in Kentucky which is where his passion for veterinary medicine began. He attended Western Kentucky University prior to Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1996. His wife, brother, & sister-in-law, are also Auburn Veterinarians and practice owners. Dr. Taul practiced mixed animal/equine for the first 15 years of his career prior to transitioning to exclusively small animal. Along that path, he had purchased and sold two hospitals, was a member of Veterinary Management Groups, a practice consultant, and President & board member for the American Animal Hospital Association. He is an instructor for the AAHA Veterinary Management Institute and the AAHA Adventure Series Pack Trip and teaches all aspects of practice management including transition/retirement planning, financial management, leadership, and culture development. He enjoys helping practice owners and veterinary teams achieve their goals and dreams. Continual learning and adapting to change in the profession have always been a priority for Dr. Taul and even today he is pursuing his MBA degree. After transitioning out of private practice, Dr. Taul joined Lakefield Veterinary Group as Director of Business Development primarily for the Southeastern United States.
